10th Annual Hindu Heritage Camp:

The programs offered at the Camp are designed to take your children to their next step in service to themselves & to others and become better citizens — Physically, Mentally & Spiritually.

Dates:  April 10th to April 12th, 2020

Location: Sadhu Vaswani Hindu Cultural Center & Temple, 
                    6526, Jefferson Paige Road, Shreveport, LA 71119

Age:  8 years and above. 
            Siblings who are 7 years old may be considered on a case by case basis.

“Hinduism - Its eternal values and practice”

The mission of the camp is to help children connect to their heritage through the eternal vallues of Hinduism. The camp will be conducted by the youth counsellors under the guidance of Balavihar teachers. The camp is modeled after the Hindu Heritage Camp conducted in Rochester, NY.

The major details are as follows:

Accommodations: 
Children attending camp from out of town will be hosted by local families, free of charge. Camp organizers will assist in assigning a host family if needed. Out of town children can arrive Friday morning at the SVHCC&T. Camp organizers will coordinate transportation with the host families. Visiting parents should make their own arrangements for stay.

Meals:
Camp fee includes vegetarian meals – lunch, dinner, and two snacks.

 Camp Fee:
 Early Bird registration on or before March 23rd:  
$125 for the first student ($100 for each additional siblings)
Registration after March 23rd:
$150 for first student ($125 for each additional siblings)

REGISTRATION closes on: April 6th, 2020

Registration forms and payment should be received by April 6th, 2020.

Sponsorship:
This low fee is made possible by generous donations/sponsorships by community members in the past years. We continue to rely on donations for camp organizational expenses and request further support. Donation form can be downloadedfrom the website. For further details please contact any of the committee members. Your donations are Tax Deductible. A separate check fordonations is preferred. Thank you.

Cancellations:
A written request must be submitted to the above address or given in person. Refund checks will be mailed after the completion of the camp if a cancellation request was made prior to March 29th. A $50 cancellation fee will be withheld. After March 29th, 2020 no refund will be issued. If for any reason the camp is cancelled by the organizing committee, the fees will br fully refunded.
